Sample Projects

Emperiks has over the years supported various assignments in West Africa. See below some of our assignments

Power Innovations in Commercial Agriculture Project (PICA)

2016-2019

In 2019, Emperiks did a performance evaluation of the USAID-IWAD flagship project on power innovations of Commercial Agriculture following a baseline, which it conducted in 2016. As a financial model, the PICA’s hybrid energy system aimed, among others, to secure the provision of low-cost clean energy for irrigated agriculture for increased productivity and gross margins.

The Greater Rural Opportunities for Women (GROW) Project

We did a summative evaluation of the GROW project (including a Technology Fund) implemented by the Mennonites Economic Development Associates in 2018. The project targeted 22,000 women in a soybean value chain in the Upper West Region and was funded by Global Affairs Canada. Emperiks subsequently did a scoping in 2021, which supported the scalability of the GROW project to additional four regions of the north.

Sustainable Technologies for Entrepreneurial Projects (STEPs)

Emperiks provided a comprehensive evaluation and technical support to the Sustainable Technologies for Entrepreneurial Projects (STEPs) implemented by BrightHill Empowerment Initiative (BHEI). STEPs were funded by the Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF) and the US Embassy, Accra with the interventions focusing on education, health, tourism, agriculture and the environment
